Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment
Assist the dentist during various procedures general dentistry
HARP Certified
Manage patient records accurately using Maxident dental software
Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols
Requirements
Proven experience in dental assisting with knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Familiarity with dental Maxident software
Experience working in general dentistry preferred
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided for qualified candidates
