Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant specializing in Orthodontics! In this energetic role, you will provide vital support to our orthodontists and general dentists, ensuring smooth clinical operations and exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help create confident smiles by assisting with a variety of dental procedures, managing patient flow, and maintaining a clean, organized environment. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use in accordance with infection prevention management and dental sterilization procedures.
Assist dentists chairside during orthodontic procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.
Take high-quality dental x-rays while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards.
Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about oral health, and ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Maintain infection control standards by following aseptic techniques, dental equipment maintenance protocols, and dental instrument processing guidelines..
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on orthodontics or general dentistry; experience in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is a plus.
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines.
Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and endodontic procedures.
Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
Ability to accurately take vital signs and perform medical imaging while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
