Looking for a dental assisting position where you can work with a great team, build your clinical skills, and make a difference in patients’ experiences?
Kimball & Beecher Family Dentistry is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our Bettendorf, Iowa team. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, organized, and excited to be part of a collaborative dental practice.
Whether you already have dental assisting experience or are looking to begin a career in dentistry, we’re open to training the right person who brings a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Your Role
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll support our dentists and clinical team throughout the patient visit. You’ll help keep appointments running smoothly while making sure patients feel comfortable and well cared for.
Responsibilities include:
Assist dentists during restorative, preventive, and other dental procedures
Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials before patient appointments
Seat and prepare patients for treatment
Take dental radiographs as trained and permitted
Assist with chairside procedures and four-handed dentistry
Sterilize instruments and follow infection control procedures
Provide patients with oral hygiene education and post-treatment instructions
Maintain accurate patient charts and clinical documentation
Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and properly stocked
Communicate with dentists, hygienists, and other members of the dental team
Help provide a welcoming, comfortable, and professional patient experience
What Makes You a Great Fit
We’re looking for someone who:
Has an Iowa Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, preferred but not required
Has previous dental assisting experience, preferred but not required
Is dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Communicates well with patients and coworkers
Works well in a team environment
Is comfortable in a busy clinical setting
Takes pride in providing excellent patient care
Is eager to learn and develop new dental assisting skills
Brings a positive attitude to the workplace
