About the Role
We are seeking a confident, motivated Dental Assistant who is patient-focused, service-minded, and ready to take ownership of their role. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, as you will be the sole clinical assistant on staff - a key leader in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care
Deliver 5-star, service-oriented care to every patient
Communicate with compassion while educating patients on treatment and oral health
Support the doctor’s treatment planning and help patients understand their needs
Accurately document existing conditions and recommended treatment
Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
Practice Operations & Leadership
Manage patient flow to optimize scheduling and minimize wait times
Collaborate closely with the front office on scheduling and treatment coordination
Track lab cases and ensure timely follow-up
Oversee inventory and ordering to keep supplies fully stocked
Requirements
New Jersey X-ray license (strongly preferred) OR willingness to obtain upon hire
Confidence working independently as the only assistant
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Positive, team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude
Experience with PracticeWorks is a plus, but we are happy to train the right motivated candidate.
Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:45 AM - 6:00 PM
One Wednesday per month: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Compensation & Benefits
$27 - $31/hour (based on experience)
