Are you an experienced dental surgery assistant who loves working with patients in a friendly environment? We’re looking for a caring chairside assistant to be part of our periodontal office.

Responsibilities
Clearly communicate with patients in a professional manner, building rapport and trust
Assist the surgeon during procedures including extractions and implants, as well as traditional periodontal surgeries (resective surgery, soft tissue and bone grafting)
Prepare the treatment room, surgical trays, and instruments
During surgery, manage suctioning while maintaining sterile technique
Take panoramic, periapical, and CBCT images as needed
Provide detailed post-operative instructions to patients, answering any questions they may have
Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant surgical environment
Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and documentation accurately
Help manage supply inventory
Requirements
A positive attitude!
Preferred: 6+ months of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a dental surgery setting
Proficient in surgical assisting techniques and infection control protocols
Can take high-quality radiographs
Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and patient rapport
Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
