Job Description

We treat our patients like family and highly value our patient relationships. While we work hard we have fun doing it! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat positive attitude, possess a strong understanding of dental practices, team work and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Pay range is $19-$27/hour based on experience.
Typical work hours are 8 am-5 pm Monday-Thursday 8 am - 1pm Fridays.
Dental assistants support the entire team of doctors, hygienists, clinical and administrative staff while always keeping our patients’ needs first. The assistant must have knowledge of dental procedures, x-ray certification, OSHA regulations and State Board requirements. Must be willing to work in and be part of the larger team and communicate effectively with doctors, employees, and patients
Essential Job Functions
-Provide chairside assistance to the dentists/hygienist
-Take x-rays
-Stock, organize, and disinfect operatories
-Ensure instrument sterilization and proper infection control protocol
-Review the doctor’s schedule daily, set up and prepare for patient appointments with needed supplies, lab cases, implants and other necessary items
-Input treatment plan given by the doctor into Dentrix
-Keep the schedule on time and communicate with the front desk
-Escort each patient to the front desk for check out
-Maintain a lab tracking system to ensure all lab work is ready for the patients’ appointment
-Ordering and unpacking supplies
-Collaborate with the doctor scheduler on schedules and maintaining the unscheduled list by following up with the patients and needed treatment
-Help the hygienists and administrative staff as needed

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 year or more of dental experience or completion of a dental assisting program
- X-ray certification
- Dentrix experience a plus
- CPR certification
