Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. In this role, you will support dentists during clinical procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical efficiency. Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontic treatments, and prosthodontics using dental instruments and advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray units.

Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments according to sterilization procedures and maintaining clinical cleanliness in accordance with infection control policies.

Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; document medical history, treatment notes, and medical coding accurately while respecting HIPAA confidentiality standards.

Support patient management by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and providing compassionate patient care tailored to any dentistry needs.

Assist with dental equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance during clinical procedures.

Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry practices to improve efficiency and patient comfort.

Perform dental instrument processing including sterilization and inventory management to uphold infection prevention standards.

Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote overall dental wellness.

Experience
Proven experience working in a busy dental office with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.

Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management.

Experience with Open Dental is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Knowledge of dental x-ray procedures along with certification in radiography; understanding of dental sterilization procedures and infection control protocols is essential.

Familiarity with advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners and digital imaging tools.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times.
