Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Working Days Monday and Thursday 9:30 to 6pm
Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments
Take dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines, adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques
Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality
Support patient check-in and check-out processes as a friendly dental receptionist, including verifying vital signs and updating medical documentation
Maintain infection control standards by following proper sterilization protocols and understanding anatomy knowledge for safe procedures
Assist with medical documentation and coding related to dental procedures to ensure accurate billing and record keeping
Requirements
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; knowledge of medical coding and documentation is highly desirable
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
Experience with medical imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning equipment
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals
