Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols.
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including X-ray imaging, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and more
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as dental x-ray machines while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety standards.
Manage patient records accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems ( Open Dental) ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for clinical confidentiality policies.
Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive medical documentation and proper treatment planning.
Perform dental instrument processing tasks including sterilization procedures following aseptic technique guidelines to uphold infection control standards.
Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and providing excellent patient care that emphasizes comfort and trust.
Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during clinical procedures.
Requirements
Proven experience is a plus, working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and dental terminology. Training is provided as well to the right and enthusiastic candidate.
Strong understanding of infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control expertise.
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, dental instruments, and other clinical tools safely and effectively.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with skills in oral surgery assistance and endodontic procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain treatment processes clearly to patients when needed.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant coursework demonstrating competence in chairside assisting and medical terminology is preferred.
