Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations. This energetic position involves assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and clinical efficiency. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use.
Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Take dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
Manage patient records using our practice management software, Archy.
Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions to foster comfort and trust.
Follow infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient management software, and coordinating with the dental receptionist team to optimize workflow.
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry, taking great alginate impressions, and fabricating excellent temporary restorations.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, digital imaging devices, and a 3D scanner.
Expertise in infection control protocols aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards.
Ability to perform dental instrument processing and sterilization efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
Excellent patient management skills with a compassionate approach to pediatric dentistry and general dentistry patients alike.
