Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, particularly in the area of pediatric dentistry. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, four-handed dentistry techniques, and the ability to manage medical records efficiently.

Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.

Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilizing instruments and managing dental supplies.

Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.

Record patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with clinic policies.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

Manage appointment schedules and assist with administrative tasks as required.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the clinic.

Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly in pediatric dentistry.

Familiarity with dental terminology and medical documentation systems is essential.

Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques to assist effectively during procedures.

Knowledge of X-ray procedures and safety protocols is required.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus.
