Job Description
The opportunity in one sentence
Full-time chairside assistant role at a single-doctor, fee-for-service practice with the most advanced equipment in the Austin metro — anchoring our PM shifts.
Why this practice is different
Fee-for-service, single-doctor — no production quotas, no insurance pressure, time to do every case right
YOMI robotic implant surgery, GentleWave G4 endodontics, CEREC same-day crowns, surgical microscopes, Fotona lasers, EMS Airflow — tools most practices in Texas don't have
Composite-only restorative work — no amalgam
Multilingual team (English, Russian, Spanish) with low turnover
PM-anchored schedule — no early mornings
Where you'll be in 90 days
If you join us experienced, by month three you'll be Dr. Regina's primary assistant on implant surgery days, running CAD/CAM workflows independently, and trusted on complex cosmetic cases.
If you join us with less experience, by month three you'll have hands-on time with YOMI, CEREC, and surgical microscopes that most assistants don't touch in their first five years.
Compensation & benefits
$22–$30/hour, based on experience
Health insurance
Paid time off
401(k) with employer contribution (launching soon)
Continuing education support
Uniforms provided
Modern office, premium equipment
Schedule reality check
Monday through Friday, approximately 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Occasional overtime when patient schedule requires
Some Saturdays required (we're not open every Saturday, but several per year)
We're upfront about this so you can decide before you apply
Who this is for
You genuinely love dentistry and the work of helping patients
You think fast, learn faster, and don't need to be told the same thing twice
You take initiative — you see what needs to happen next and do it
You're reliable and consistently available
Experienced DA preferred — strong attitude and aptitude can beat tenure for the right candidate
Texas DA registration and radiology certification, or willingness to obtain (we'll support you)
Bilingual (Russian, Spanish, or other) is a plus, not required
Who this isn't for
If you want a slow, routine environment with simple cases, this isn't it. We do complex implant surgery, microscope endodontics, same-day ceramics, full-arch restorations, and advanced cosmetic work — every day demands focus and learning. Corporate mills run higher patient volume on lower-complexity cases; we run the opposite.
If your standard for your own work is "good enough," we won't be a fit. Patients pay out of pocket and expect excellence; the doctor is demanding; the team holds a high bar.
No cert yet but the right attitude? Read this.
If you don't yet have your Texas DA registration but you have the work ethic, sharp mind, and genuine interest in this work, we have a sterile tech position starting at $18/hour with a clear path to dental assistant. We'll help you get certified and grow into the full role.
Our hiring process
Apply via Indeed
5-question screening form (10 minutes)
15-minute phone call
Paid working interview in the office
Decision within 48 hours of the working interview
We respond to every qualified applicant within 24 hours, most within 2.
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Benefits:
401(k)
Dental insurance
Health insurance
Opportunities for advancement
Paid time off
Application Question(s):
Why are you specifically interested in PM-shift hours (roughly 10 AM – 6:30 PM)? What about this schedule fits your life right now?
What's your current or most recent dental assistant role, how long were you there, and why are you looking to move?
Rate your comfort level from 1 (none) to 5 (very confident) for each, and briefly explain your highest and lowest:
Digital intraoral scanning (CEREC / iTero / similar)
Surgical assisting (implants, extractions, grafting)
Patient communication, including handling anxious patients
Sterilization protocols and instrument processing
What hourly rate are you targeting for this role?
5. When could you realistically start, and how much notice do you need to give your current employer? Also — are you available for occasional Saturday shifts and overtime when our patient schedule requires it?
