Job Description
Dental Assistant – Preventive Module Preferred
We are looking for a motivated and caring Dental Assistant to join our growing team.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid Practice Permit from the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA) with the Preventive (Scaling) Module. However, we welcome applications from all qualified Dental Assistants with a valid Alberta Practice Permit.Also new grad are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments.
Maintain infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
Take a dental radiographs (X-rays). Digital,
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software.
Perform scaling and preventive procedures if authorized under your Practice Permit.
Qualifications
Valid Practice Permit from the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
Preventive (Scaling) Module is preferred.
Previous dental assisting experience is an asset.
Experience with dental practice management software or electronic health records is an asset.
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
