Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. We provide emergency care to individuals in need outside of normal business hours. Thurs-Sun. 10:00 AM- 6:00 PM and every other weekend. As such, the ideal candidate must be reliable and consistent in attending scheduled shifts so that we can provide essential treatment to our patients.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
Take x-rays as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front office duties as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist when required.
Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
Support various dental specialties including pediatrics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more as required by the practice.
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in a dental assisting, preferably 2 or more years. Bilingual is a plus but not required!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
