Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant/RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) and be a vital part of providing exceptional oral healthcare. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when necessary, to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide chairside assistance by handling dental tools, materials, and medical imaging equipment efficiently during procedures.
Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and answer any questions they may have about their dental health.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with a dental receptionist mindset to ensure smooth patient flow and clinic operations.
Skills
Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical documentation and records.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Experience with dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards; familiarity with medical imaging technology including 3D scanners is a plus.
Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields such as endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, patients, and team members; experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatrics to assist in precise patient care delivery.
