Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and efficiency
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) using digital imaging systems, including 3D scanners when applicable, ensuring accurate medical documentation
Manage patient records within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times
Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to support comprehensive care delivery, especially in pediatric dentistry cases
Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, post-treatment care, and infection control practices to promote oral health awareness
Collaborate seamlessly with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, update medical records, and handle administrative duties efficiently
Experience
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry preferred
Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and infection control protocols
Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation
Experience with radiographic equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners is highly desirable
Ability to communicate effectively using dental terminology and medical coding standards for accurate record keeping
Previous exposure to medical terminology related to endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics is advantageous
Certification as a Dental Assistant or RDA is required; ongoing education in infection control and new dental technologies is encouraged
