Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. This paid position offers the opportunity to work alongside skilled dental professionals, utilizing your clinical skills and passion for health to improve patients’ smiles and overall well-being. You will play a vital role in supporting the clinical team, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth daily operations within our state-of-the-art dental practice.
Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
Assist dentists chairside during procedures, providing four-handed dentistry support.
Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring high-quality medical imaging for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records systems like Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history to support comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to foster understanding and comfort.
Requirements
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent license; experience in general dentistry is required.
Proficiency with dental equipment including X-ray machines, digital imaging tools.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and sterilization procedures.
Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to healthcare infection prevention and control standards.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, ensuring a positive experience.
Must have experience as a dental assistant.
