Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing essential administrative support within our dental practice. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental terminology and medical office procedures.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
Schedule appointments efficiently using dental scheduling software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance verification processes.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation review.
Assist with medical billing and coding, including familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10.
Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, utilizing multi-line phone systems to manage calls effectively.
Process payments and manage medical collections as needed.
Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and maintaining organized medical records.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic environment.
Demonstrate excellent patient service skills to enhance the overall patient experience.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and health information management practices.

Proven track record in customer service, office management, or administrative support roles is essential.
