Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This dual-role position is vital in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental office procedures, strong administrative skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Maxident. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where patient service and administrative excellence are prioritized.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently
Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and reschedule as needed
Assist dental providers during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems like Maxident.
Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages
Manage administrative tasks including filing, billing, and insurance processing
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in compliance with safety protocols
Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care instructions
Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Experience
Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Dental Assistant is preferred
Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Maxident is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems in a healthcare setting
Strong office experience including front desk duties, administrative support, and multi-line phone systems
Previous dental or medical office experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
