Job Description
Dental Assistant
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. No certification or registration is required. While prior dental assisting experience is preferred, we welcome applicants with no experience who are eager to learn, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
Schedule:
Part-time: 2–3 days per week
Monday–Friday only (no weekends)
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, materials, and equipment before patient appointments.
Sterilize, disinfect, package, and distribute dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Prepare procedure-specific dental trays and ensure all required instruments and materials are ready.
Take dental X-rays, including intraoral and panoramic (PANO) radiographs.
Clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients.
Organize, monitor, and maintain inventory of dental supplies, instruments, and materials; restock operatories as needed.
Ensure dental equipment is clean, properly maintained, and ready for use.
Provide chairside assistance, including passing instruments, operating suction, and helping ensure patient comfort.
Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene instructions as directed by the dentist.
Assist with laboratory cases and perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
No certification or registration required.
Previous dental assisting experience is preferred but not required. Comprehensive training will be provided for motivated candidates with no prior experience.
Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
