Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role combines front desk administrative duties with clinical support, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental office procedures, strong communication skills, and proficiency in electronic medical records systems. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes
Schedule appointments and confirm upcoming visits using Dentrix or similar software
Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and provide information
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records
Assist the dental team during procedures, including sterilization and preparation of instruments
Educate patients on treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions
Manage billing, insurance claims, and payment processing efficiently
Ensure the front desk area remains organized, professional, and welcoming
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence
Dentally knowledge prefered but willing to train
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting is highly preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix
Strong office experience, including familiarity with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
Ability to handle administrative tasks accurately while managing patient interactions
Experience with medical or dental office software is a plus
Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not required
