Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and administrative support, ensuring efficient office operations and a positive patient experience.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for dental services.
Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance claims processing(Willing to train).
Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist patients with care plans and answer any questions regarding their treatment.
Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office workflow.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies for patient procedures.
Assist the dentist during various dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow.
Sterilize and organize dental instruments following infection control protocols.
Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
Educate patients on post-procedure care and general oral hygiene practices.
Requirements
Experience or externship experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within dental office.
Familiarity with dental terminology is essential.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Experience with documentation review, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance.
Proficient in office management software and basic computer skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
