Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This dual-role position combines front desk administrative duties with clinical support to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have prior dental office experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently
Schedule appointments and confirm upcoming visits using dental practice management software
Assist the dental team during procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Cleardent
Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages
Manage front desk operations, including billing, insurance verification, and payment processing
Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-procedure instructions
Support administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry within the office
Skills
Prior experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare settings
Experience working as a dental receptionist or in a medical office environment
Proficiency in handling electronic medical records (EMRs) and office management systems
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism
Exceptional communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and insurance providers
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
