Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This energetic position combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, requiring a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing outstanding patient service. You will be the first point of contact for patients and assist with clinical procedures, administrative tasks, and medical record management to create a welcoming and efficient environment.

Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks
Assist dentists during clinical procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and handing necessary supplies
Collect patient information, verify insurance coverage, and handle medical billing using health insurance knowledge and coding systems like CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10
Maintain accurate medical records and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies
Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries professionally, schedule appointments via dental clinic software, and coordinate patient flow efficiently
Support administrative functions including filing, data entry with 10-key typing skills, and managing electronic health records (EHR) management
Ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive patient information
Requirements
Proven experience in a dental clinic or medical office setting with strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or similar platforms
Familiarity with medical coding including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for accurate documentation review and billing processes
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks
Ability to perform clerical duties such as filing, multi-line phone operation, typing (including 10-key), and managing electronic health records efficiently
Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare and other providers’ requirements
Prior dental clinic experience is highly preferred; familiarity with clinical confidentiality policies is essential
Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and care plan coordination
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism under pressure

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
