Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Assistant to join our specialty group practice focused on Prosthodontics and Endodontics. You will provide skilled chairside support to our specialist doctors while also handling select front-office administrative duties to support smooth daily operations. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist prosthodontists chairside with crown and bridge, implants, dentures, veneers, and full-mouth rehabilitation cases
Assist endodontists with root canal therapy, retreatments, and apicoectomy procedures
Take and process digital X-rays, including periapicals and full-mouth series
Prepare, seat, and deliver impressions, temporaries, and final restorations under doctor supervision
Maintain strict infection control, instrument sterilization, and OSHA compliance
Accurately document treatment and update patient records in the practice management system
Educate patients on post-procedure care and what to expect during specialty treatment
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer phones, confirm appointments, and assist with patient scheduling as needed
Support front desk during high-volume periods or staff absences
Assist with insurance verification or pre-authorization for specialty procedures
Help manage lab case tracking, shipping, and communication with dental laboratories
Monitor and assist with supply inventory and ordering
QUALIFICATIONS
Dental assisting certification or equivalent hands-on experience required
Prior experience in a prosthodontic or endodontic setting strongly preferred
Radiology certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Familiarity with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced specialty practice environment
