Job Description
Job Summary
We are searching for someone to join our dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients seeking quality oral healthcare. In this role, you will support the dentist in delivering efficient, comfortable, and comprehensive dental treatments. Duties
Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and care.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection control protocols.
Take high-quality X-ray images while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage electronic records on Eaglesoft efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and dental coding.
Perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow seamlessly throughout the day.
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control, and anatomy knowledge is not required but it is preferred.
Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and coding for accurate record keeping is not required but it is preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort.
