Overview

In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, adhering to strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring all documentation complies with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
Perform dental instrument processing including sterilization procedures to maintain high standards of infection control.
Monitor vital signs and assist in patient management before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal care.
Support front desk operations by coordinating appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software.
Requirements
Experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
Familiarity in Dentrix or other dental management software a plus.
Strong understanding of infection control protocols, dental sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
Ability to perform X-ray duties safely following radiation safety guidelines; experience with dental X-ray equipment is required.
Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patients of all ages while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Chinese speaking a plus.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant healthcare training.
