Job Description
Dental Assistant or CA-licensed RDA — $24–$28 an hour, four-day work week at a family-owned (not corporate) practice in San Luis Obispo since 1977.
We have an immediate opening for a chairside assistant who wants to work with current technology every day: CEREC same-day restorations, lasers, implant restorations, and full-mouth smile design. Already experienced with these? Great. Eager to learn them? We will train you.
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour to start
Base pay depends on experience and licensure. Recent chairside experience and an active RDA license start higher in the range.
Schedule: four days a week
What you will bring
3+ years of recent chairside assisting preferred — strong assistants with less experience and a drive to grow are encouraged to apply
CA RDA license a plus; we are glad to support your path to licensure
Current CPR/BLS and California radiation safety certification
Solid aseptic technique, infection control, and HIPAA awareness
Comfortable in a paperless practice — charting, treatment plans, email and attachments; Eaglesoft, Dexis, and CEREC experience strongly preferred
A team-first working style, reliable attendance, and warm communication with patients
