Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your skills and enthusiasm will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, orthodontic, prosthodontic, endodontic, periodontal, oral surgery, and pediatric treatments.
Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse; assess patient comfort and readiness for treatment.
Manage patient records accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments, updating medical and dental histories, and managing medical documentation.
Support the dental office team by performing front desk duties such as greeting patients, verifying insurance information, and coordinating patient flow seamlessly.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic or general dentistry practice is preferred.
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document patient information efficiently.
Knowledge of dental terminology across multiple specialties including orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery.
Experience with medical coding and medical documentation to ensure accurate billing and record keeping.
Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy at all times.
Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking X-rays, assisting with various dental procedures, and monitoring vital signs accurately.
Excellent communication skills in explaining procedures clearly to patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
