Job Description
Job Overview
We are looking for a full time dental assistant to join our Juniper Dental Team.
Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures.
Take high-quality dental x-rays and utilize medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses.
Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems with OpenDental, and patient management software to ensure accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding.
Provide chairside assisting.
Monitor vital signs and assist in patient management to ensure safety and comfort throughout visits.
Uphold strict clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations while handling medical documentation and records.
Support infection prevention management by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently.
Collaborate with the dental team on patient care strategies, ensuring a seamless flow from reception to treatment completion.
Assist with dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures to maintain a sterile environment at all times.
Skills
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry.
Experience with dental x-ray techniques and medical imaging tools like 3D scanners.
Familiarity with dental equipment operation, maintenance, and infection control standards.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient care and collaboration within the dental team.
Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to sterilization protocols.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique.
Ability to handle medical documentation accurately while complying with HIPAA regulations.
Experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
