Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! Duties
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while maintaining patient comfort and safety
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care
Provide chairside assistance with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize procedure efficiency
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and acting as a dental receptionist when needed
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry practices
Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is a plus
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
Hands-on experience with dental X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanners
Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a healthcare environment
Ability to communicate effectively using dental terminology and medical terminology for accurate documentation
Experience supporting specialized areas such as prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous
