Upstate Periodontics, the private dental practice of Dr. Joshua McKee, is seeking a surgical dental assistant to join our team! The position is for a chair side dental assistant to work alongside Dr. McKee during exams and surgeries. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: taking digital and CBCT x-rays, setting up and turning over rooms, sterilization, presenting treatment plans, assisting in surgical and non-surgical procedures. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for helping patients achieve their oral health goals.
What defines our practice? The people! We are a dental team whose members share the value of doing our very best for each patient that entrusts us with their care. We strive to make each patient who visits our practice feel welcome and valued.

A qualified candidate must have:
Degree in dental assisting from an accredited program
Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
X-ray Certification
Minimum one-year experience in a dental practice
Drive to work independently and initiative to learn, take notes, and study to train efficiently into our terminology, technology and processes.
Ability to work Monday – Thursday. No weekends!
Stable work history, excellent references.
