Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment to ensure readiness for each procedure
Assist dentists during various treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism
Take dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols and proper documentation
Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) system such as Open Dental, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and supporting four-handed dentistry practices
Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote ongoing dental wellness
Ensure all dental sterilization procedures are followed meticulously to prevent infection transmission and uphold clinical cleanliness standards
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant within a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental or Dentrix for managing dental documentation and records
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and relevant to dental care
Proficiency in taking X-rays (dental x-ray), operating dental equipment, including 3D scanners when applicable, and performing dental instrument processing
Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control protocols aligned with clinical confidentiality policies
Ability to perform vital signs assessments and assist with oral surgery or endodontic procedures as needed
Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or patient management software user to facilitate smooth patient flow

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
