Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech - Pediatric

Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist and hygienists during dental procedures and hygiene appointments
Stay ahead of the schedule for the dentist and hygienists to keep the flow of patients moving
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Take dental x-rays- Perform dental charting and medical documentation in Dentrix
Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices
Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
X-ray certification
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
Familiarity with dental/medical coding and billing processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Please note that experience in pediatrics and familiarity with Dentrix electronic health record system are preferred but not required.
