Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will support dentists during patient procedures, ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities, and provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontic, periodontics and pediatric treatments
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols
Take dental X-rays while ensuring adherence to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques
Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as SoftDent, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Training will be available
Educate patients on oral health care, post-procedure instructions, and preventive practices to promote optimal dental health
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic environment, with knowledge of general dentistry.
Understanding of dental terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care
Knowledge of dental equipment operation, dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety guidelines; experience with dental X-ray.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is preferred; additional certifications in infection prevention
