Dental Assistant

The Davis Clinic for Oral and Facial Surgery is a comprehensive oral and facial surgery practice in Thornhill, ON. Our office is an esthetic, state-of-the-art outpatient surgical facility. We are expanding and currently seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant.

Position Description:This is a part- or full-time to position (4 days per week) reporting to the Office Manager. This individual’s responsibilities will include:
Chair-side assisting the surgeon(s) in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures;
Record-taking including dental photography and alginate impressions;
Receptionist responsibilities including answering phones, scheduling appointments and billing;
Interacting with patients, staff and referring doctors;
Ensuring that supplies are in-stock;
Participate in Continuing Education events;
Keeping the office space tidy.

Qualifications: HARP Certification and CDA Level 1 Assisting Certification is required. Experience working in an oral surgery office would be an asset. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team.
