Job Description
Dental Assistant
Part-Time | Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
We are a modern, growing dental practice looking for a positive, proactive, and tech-savvy Dental Assistant to join our team.
This is an ideal role for someone who loves being part of a collaborative environment, takes initiative, and is genuinely happy to jump in wherever support is needed. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our practice long-term and become an important part of our clinical team.
Schedule
Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Candidates should be able to consistently commit to these days and hours.
Key Responsibilities
Support dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants throughout the clinical day
Jump in for chairside dental assisting as needed
Assist with room setup, turnover, breakdown, and maintaining efficient patient flow
Sterilize, package, and organize dental instruments according to infection-control protocols
Keep operatories stocked, organized, and ready for patients
Assist with Invisalign appointments and workflows
Perform iTero scanning and support digital dentistry workflows
Help ensure patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for
Anticipate the needs of providers and other team members rather than waiting to be asked
Maintain a clean, organized, calm, and efficient clinical environment
Jump in to support the team during busy periods
Adapt quickly when schedules or priorities change
Learn and follow new clinical systems, technology, software, and workflows as the practice continues to grow
What We're Looking For
Previous dental assisting experience
iTero training and experience is required
Comfortable with Invisalign and digital workflows
Highly comfortable with technology and able to learn new software quickly
Experience with Oryx dental software is an asset
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A genuinely positive and supportive attitude
Proactive and willing to see what needs to be done and jump in
Calm, composed, and solutions-oriented during busy or stressful situations
Warm, welcoming, and professional with patients
Organized, efficient, and able to multitask
Comfortable moving between chairside assisting, sterilization, room turnover, scanning, stocking, and other clinical support responsibilities
Dependable and consistent
Eager to learn, develop new skills, and grow with the practice
Who Will Thrive in This Role
You will thrive in this position if you are the type of person who notices when a teammate needs help and steps in, enjoys learning new technology, stays calm when the day gets busy, and takes pride in helping the entire clinical team run smoothly.
We strongly value teamwork, positivity, initiative, adaptability, and a supportive attitude. We want someone who contributes to a welcoming environment for both our patients and our team.
If you're looking for a practice where you can contribute, continue learning, and grow with the team, we'd love to hear from you.
Application question(s):
Are you able to consistently work Tuesday, Thursday, Friday at the hours listed?
How many years of experience do you have?
Do you have experience with itero or digital scanning?
This is a clinical floater position that includes chairside assisting, sterilization, room turnover, stocking, iTero scanning, Invisalign support, and helping wherever the clinical team needs support. Are you comfortable regularly moving between all of these responsibilities?
Imagine the office is running behind: one room needs to be turned over, sterilization is backed up, and a provider needs assistance. How would you decide what to prioritize?
