Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic, providing excellent patient care, and assisting the dentist during procedures.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as OpenDental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental treatments including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and handling medical records.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging.
Knowledge of infection control practices.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
