Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Billingual (English and Spanish)
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging while adhering to infection prevention management protocols
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient assessments
Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant within a dental clinic environment, with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental sterilization procedures, and medical imaging tools
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry
Experience using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling and record-keeping
Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention protocols
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while following all safety guidelines
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals
Certification in Dental Assisting preferred; additional certifications in Pediatric Dentistry or Oral Surgery are a plus
