Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures

- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment using aseptic technique

- Take and develop dental x-rays

- Perform laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions

- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care

- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft

- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar

- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed
Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience

- Current certification in dental radiography preferred

- Proficiency in using electronic dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft

- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry

- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions is a plus
