Job Description
Job Summary
Small non corporate Family Practice is looking for a Dental Assistant . Help the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including chairside assisting for general procedures.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
X-rays certificate required.
Document patient information accurately using Open Dental or Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Utilize 3D scanners for impressions when applicable.
Help front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques is essential.
Experience using Dentrix and Open Dental
Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while ensuring patient comfort.
Infection Control
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients
Ability to work collaboratively. Team approach
