Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are a one dentist general dental practice, well established over 25 years and committed to providing excellent and professional oral care to our family of patients. We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant with a personable attitude to join our dynamic dental team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with a passion for providing exceptional patient care and supporting clinical operations. We welcome recent graduates and experienced applicants to apply.

Current New Jersey State dental x-ray license is required.

Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures.

Assist dentist during various treatments across general dentistry
Take x-rays, vital signs and patient assessments to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices.

Help in administrative tasks at the front desk as needed
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.

Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Schedule
Mon: 8:45-5:30 with 1 hour lunch
Tues: 8:45-2:00
Wed: 12:45-6:30
Thur: 12:45-6:30
Fri: Closed
Sat: 8:45-1:00 (one Sat/month)
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
