Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory management.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive patient experience.
Bilingual, multi languages an asset
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly in periodontics or surgery.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Maxident or Dexis is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is advantageous.
Experience as a dental receptionist can be beneficial for managing front-office duties.
