Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and care
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; document treatment details accurately and efficiently
Support patients by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits
Maintain a sterile environment through aseptic techniques and proper infection control practices
Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and reduce patient wait times
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix, soft dent. Epic for managing medical records and documentation
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic technique
Certification in X-ray technology and proficiency in taking radiographs for diagnostic purposes
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
Experience working with pediatric dentistry patients is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills to support the dental receptionist duties when needed and foster positive patient interactions
