Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure a smooth workflow within the practice, and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient and comfortable patient experiences. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and adhering to aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records using computer systems like Dentrix Open Dental while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology accurately, preparing materials, and assisting with complex procedures like vital signs measurement and medical documentation. Support administrative tasks including greeting patients, scheduling future appointments, and making post-op calls. Ensure infection control standards are met through proper sterilization procedures and knowledge of anatomy to assist with accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Qualifications
At least 1 year of previous experience working in a dental office, 2+ years preferred. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Familiarity with systems such as Dentrix or Open Dental. Knowledge of X-ray procedures, medical imaging technologies like 3D scanners, and the ability to perform vital signs assessment confidently. Understanding of HIPAA regulations along with strong organizational skills for managing medical records and documentation accurately. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting four-handed dentistry practices while maintaining excellent patient care standards. A solid foundation in anatomy knowledge and aseptic techniques ensures safe and effective assistance during procedures involving endodontics or prosthodontics.
