Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

Duties
Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing chairside assisting techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation to support overall patient health assessments.
Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to facilitate precise diagnoses and treatment planning.
Provide exceptional customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, managing patient inquiries, and maintaining organized medical records.
Support the implementation of infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment following established protocols.
Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry practices and effective communication among staff members.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or OpenDental.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy related to dentistry.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards.
Strong understanding of dental terminology across various specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
Experience with medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about procedures and oral health practices.
