Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach courses in our Dental Assisting program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Dental Assisting courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.

Requirements
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
Completion of a Dental Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred
Registed Dental Assistant or Certified Dental Assistant certification required
DANB RHS certification required
Dental Xray certification required
EFDA Certification is highly desired but not required
Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant chairside
Prior postsecondary teaching experience preferred but not required
Strong organizational and planning skills
Team player who demonstrates initiative, dependability, and reliability
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
