Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Chairside Assistant/Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in our Mount Prospect and Villa Park offices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to use your skills in a fast-paced dental setting, supporting dentists during procedures and ensuring patients receive exceptional care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient service.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for appointments.
Take dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, adhering to infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Support patient comfort by explaining procedures, and managing medical documentation efficiently.
Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards to promote a safe clinical environment.
Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other medical imaging tools with precision.
Skills
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
1 + years of Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry.
Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting.
Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with medical imaging procedures accurately.
Knowledge of dental assisting best practices including four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
