Job Description
Dental Clinical Associate
Reports to: Clinical Director
Status: At Will
Increase average daily production of dentists in assigned offices
Weekly coaching of dentists and higher scorecards
Perio charting % completion
Specialist referral goals met
Real time and in-person coaching and clinical care in offices
1. Clinical Excellence
Train and coach dentists in assigned markets with clinical work
Manage all treatment plans in your target offices in real time
As needed to do the following:
Perform all general dental procedures confidently and efficiently
Diagnose and treatment plan wisdom teeth and complex cases
Complete comprehensive full-mouth treatment plans
Conduct same-day treatments at a high clinical standard
Complete perio charting, clinical notes, and documentation by end of day
Review and update patient medical histories before treatment
Refer all patients in-house to specialists as appropriate (10+ per month)
Perform full-mouth digital scans (e.g., Invisalign and diagnostic scans) - 80%+ compliance
Utilize Halcyon effectively for charting, scheduling, and treatment entry
Continuously bring new procedures, technologies, or efficiencies into the practice
2. Patient Experience & Professionalism
Set the standard for patient communication and bedside manner (5+ google reviews per month)
Build trust by clearly explaining diagnoses and treatment options
Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and valued during visits
Monitor daily logs, case completions, and follow-ups with staff
Handle patient concerns or complications with empathy and professionalism
3. Leadership & Team Contribution
Manage patient flow efficiently throughout the day
Train and mentor dental assistants and support staff
Collaborate with other doctors and team members to maintain smooth operations
Arrive on time and remain until office close; maintain dependable attendance
Maintain a positive, growth-oriented attitude and accept feedback constructively
For senior doctors: act as mentors on the clinical team, providing real-time treatment planning support to junior dentists
4. Practice Growth & Community Engagement
Build productive, well-balanced daily schedules
Proactively recommend new patients to the practice
Refer appropriate cases (10+ per month) to in-house specialists
Encourage new staff referrals to the recruiting team
Volunteer and participate in community, social, and marketing events to represent the practice positively
Pay: $200,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
