Job Description

Chief Clinical Officer | Wynkoop Dentistry | Denver, Colorado
Looking for Your Next Chapter in Dentistry?

Perhaps you've built and sold a successful practice.

Perhaps you're tired of the physical demands of full-time clinical dentistry.

Perhaps you've spent decades learning what makes a great dental practice and want to help the next generation succeed.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

Wynkoop Dentistry is seeking a Chief Clinical Officer to help lead and develop our growing clinical organization. We are looking for an experienced dentist who has a passion for mentoring providers, improving systems, developing teams, and helping practices reach their full potential.

This is an opportunity to use the knowledge you've spent a lifetime building without spending your days running from operatory to operatory.

Who We Think Will Thrive In This Role
Our ideal candidate:
Has at least 5 years of clinical experience
Ideally has owned or operated a successful dental practice
Has experience integrating technology into clinical workflows
Has experience with CAD/CAM workflows
Has completed advanced continuing education through organizations such as Dawson Academy, Pankey Institute, Spear Education, Kois Center, Seattle Study Club, or similar programs
Understands comprehensive treatment planning and foundational occlusion
Has worked alongside implant, surgery, airway, sleep, orthodontic, or specialty providers and understands how those workflows integrate into a comprehensive practice
Loves mentoring dentists, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members
Sees potential in people and enjoys helping them grow
Understands both the clinical and business sides of dentistry
Is excited by the opportunity to help build systems that can be replicated across future locations
We are especially interested in speaking with:
Former practice owners
Dentists who have sold their practices
Experienced clinicians who want to reduce chairside responsibilities
What You'll Do
Lead provider development, coaching, and accountability systems
Improve treatment acceptance and patient communication
Support comprehensive treatment planning and interdisciplinary care
Develop clinical systems and workflows
Partner with hygiene leadership to improve outcomes and consistency
Monitor clinical quality and chart audit performance
Conduct provider performance reviews and quarterly development meetings
Help identify and develop future clinical leaders
Assist ownership in evaluating technology, systems, and growth opportunities
What Makes This Role Different
You'll have direct influence over:
Clinical strategy
Provider development
Comprehensive case growth
Hygiene systems
Patient experience
Clinical culture
This is not a corporate oversight role.

This is a hands-on leadership position where your experience directly impacts the growth of providers, the quality of patient care, and the future direction of the organization.

You will help create the systems, mentorship pathways, and clinical standards that allow exceptional dentistry to scale without sacrificing quality.

What Success Looks Like
Associates become more confident and productive
Treatment acceptance improves
Comprehensive care continues to grow
Implant, restorative, and interdisciplinary services expand
Hygiene and doctor collaboration strengthens
Clinical quality remains exceptional
Patients receive a consistent, high-level experience
Future leaders are developed from within the organization
Compensation
This position is designed for someone who wants meaningful impact, flexibility, and the opportunity to shape the future of an exceptional organization. We anticipate that candidates for this role are not primarily motivated by income.

Compensation includes:
Base salary
Quarterly performance bonuses tied to measurable outcomes
Future opportunities for percentage-based compensation tied to organizational growth and performance
Significant influence over the strategic direction of the clinical organization
We envision this role as a long-term leadership partnership with substantial growth potential as the organization expands.
